But... where on earth is Molise?!

I talk so many times in this blog about my beloved homeland, Molise.

But I realize only now that I've never told you where it is!

So here is the answer:

(you know, a picture is worth a thousand words)

Molise

And because a picture is worth a thousand word, when I have to describe it I prefer showing these pics:

A nice story of a Dutch expat… in Italy!

image Janine Foppes

(Italian below)

Following the posts of few days ago regarding mainstream media attention to this peculiar phenomenon, yesterday a local news website published another nice article about it. It’s an interview of Janine Foppes, a brave Dutch lady who opened a B&B in a small village in Molise (Ripabottoni) which didn’t know what a B&B ( and a tourist) was before hers.

You can read the full article (automatically translated in English) here.

I just want to quote here a brief part of her interview:

Janine: “In Ripabottoni – a small village with a population of 673- at least 10 Dutch families bought a house. Some of them already requested the residency”

Journalist: “But what the hell they do here (in such small insignificant village)"?

Janine: “They relax in their homes, the sometimes go the the beach (preferably not in summer), read, make long walks in the nature, get acquainted with the locals, becoming their good friends. This is the right place to live, not just for holiday.”

P.s. For the entrepreneurs: if you need help in bringing Dutch people to Molise or your services to them, I am here

Ne ho portati in Molise (e aiutato) parecchi.
