Qualche giorno fa sono stato a S. Pietro Avellana, ridente paesino in provincia di Isernia al confine con l'Abruzzo, per la Mostra Mercato del tartufo bianco.
Lì ho avuto il piacere di provare l'emozione che questo lontanissimo cugino della patata regala. Secondo me dell'ottimo tartufo bianco, sapientemente cucinato, (come quello che ho potuto gustare al ristorante hotel Torre di Feudozzo è una delle esperienze più piacevoli che il nostro palato può gustare. Un pezzettino microscopico di questo miracolo della natura... quanti profumi e che esplosione di sapori...!
E in effetti chi lo vende ne è ben consapevole, se lo offre al prezzo di ... 4000 €/kg (si avete capito bene, quattromila...).
Sono stato a S. Pietro, insieme agli amici di Italia del Gusto, per discutere i dettagli dell'ingresso di S. Pietro nella rete "Borghi Europei del Gusto", che unisce il meglio che l'Europa ha da offrire in termini di buon e bel vivere e che svolge efficace attività di condivisione di esperienze e promozione per i paesi che ne fanno parte.
Ne abbiamo parlato con il sindaco di S.Pietro Antonio di Ludovico e Francesco Lombardi, suo giovane e brillante assessore al turismo (questo ragazzo farà strada...!).

A few days ago I have been in S. Pietro Avellana, a cute ancient village cast in the mountains of Molise, where I visited the local fair of the White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) and had the opportunity to savor the infinite emotions that this distant cousin of the potato will present you.
I believe that excellent truffle, wisely cooked, (like the one I had the opportunity to eat at the Hotel restaurant Torre di Feudozzo) will present you some of the most pleasant experience your palate may taste. What an explosion of taste! I can understand why its price is today € 4.000/kg... (not a joke!)
I went there also, together with my friends from Italia del Gusto, to discuss the details of the entrance of S. Pietro in the network of "Borghi Europei del Gusto", which links the best Europe has to offer in terms of good and nice life and promote the villages in the network with various events.
We met for this purpose the mayor Antonio di Ludovico and his councilor for tourism Francesco Lombardi, a young but brilliant politician who certainly has a future!
